During the same year 3.6 percent of Americans got divorced. That means that for about every two marriages there was one divorce, or a 48 percent divorce rate.
Most people enter into marriage with the expectation the marriage will last until death. The facts however show that isn’t the case. For almost half of the population marriage only lasts until divorce.
